  Dr. Khaled Abughazaleh, B.D.S., D.M.D.

Dr Abughazaleh received his Bachelor in Dental Surgery from the University of Jordan in 1992,and then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, after which he received his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is certified by the American boards of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Dental Anesthesiology.

Upon completion of his training, he joined the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry as a full time Clinical Assistant Professor, with limited private practice. While at the University Dr. Abughazaleh worked closely with the department of Prosthodontics, and directed implant postgraduate courses and continuing education programs. He has also lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Abughazaleh is a fellow of the American association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is former president of the Illinois Society of Dental Anesthesiology. At the present time he is in private practice, and travels to provide volunteer surgical care.

 
  Dr. Alexander Katsnelson DMD, MS

Dr. Katsnelson received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Hebrew University in 2004. As well, he concurrently obtained a Master's Degree in Neurophysiology.

Dr. Katsnelson completed an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Illinois at Chicago. He received his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Harvard University teaching hospital, where he served as chief resident.

Currently Dr. Katsnelson is a candidate of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Katsnelson has extensively published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and presented in national dental meetings.

 
  Dr. Nermeen M. Moussa B.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Moussa received her Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Faculty of Dentistry, Kuwait University, where she was granted the Deans List Award or Outstanding Academic and Clinical Performance. She then attended the Endodontics Fellowship Program at University of Florida. Dr. Moussa completed her microsurgical endodontic specialty training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she also earned her Masters Degree in Oral Sciences. In 2010 she was awarded AAE/ Dentsply Resident Award by the American Association of Endodontists as well as First Place Postdoctoral Clinical Science Young Investigator Award by the American Association of Dental Research, in addition to First Place Graduate student Clinical & Behavioral Research Award at UIC.

Dr. Moussa is also a board certified member of the American Association of Endodontists. She actively participates in continuing education and her special interests include regeneration and traumatic injuries. Dr. Moussa is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
She is a member in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, American Association of Endodontists, Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, and Illinois Association of Endodontists.

Dr. Moussa believes in involving patients in the decision-making process and strives to provide painless and stress-free treatment.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Moussa enjoys hiking, swimming and volleyball.

 
  Dr. Rauf Yousuf, D.M.D., M.S.D.

Dr. Yousuf is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1995. After completing a one-year hospital fellowship in General Dentistry at Illinois Masonic Hospital, he received his specialty training in Periodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He holds a Master's Degree in Oral Biology from Indiana University as well.

Dr. Yousuf has been a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois of Chicago, College of Dentistry. He has also had a limited Private Practice affiliated with the University of Chicago. Dr. Yousuf specializes in all aspects of Periodontics including soft tissue grafting, bone grafting, implants, crown lengthening, and reconstructive periodontal surgery. Dr. Yousuf is a Member of the American Academy of Periodontics, the Midwest Society of Periodontist, the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
